“Become strong in your faith, do every-thing in the marvellous light of God, rather than in fancy and imagination. Really believe that he loves you, that he himself wants to help you in all your struggles. Believe in his love, his ‘great love’ as St Paul calls it.
“Finally, ‘be filled with thanksgiving’. This is the last item on the agenda and is the result of all the rest. If you walk in -are in union with- Christ Jesus, rooted in him, strong in your faith, you will live in thanksgiving, and thanksgiving is the joy and delight of God’s children. I ask myself how someone who has really fathomed the love which God has for us could fail to be filled with joy, whatever our suffering and grief
Remember that ‘even before the world was made, God has already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so we could be holy and without fault before him’. So don’t be afraid of struggle or temptation: ‘When I am weak, than I am strong, for the protection of Christ’s power over me’.”
