Congratulations to The Ratoath Royal Lopez Junior Chess team who have won the Meath U16 Community Games for the first time. The Ratoath team with an average age of just 12, overcame a similarly young Julianstown team 4.5 to 0.5 in the county final at Whitecross School Julianstown. The winning team who will represent the county are, Yaroslav Baturov (Captain), Elliot Gould,

Meath Archaeological & Historical Society :  The launch of the 2008 Journal, by Prof. George Eogan, is on Wednesday 20^th February in Dalgan Park, Navan, at 8.00pm, followed by a lecture, "Postal Services in Meath" by Anthony Hughes.  A reception for members, intending members and their guests will be held at 7.00pm.
