Remembering our loved ones who have died
On next Monday 23rd November at 8pm, our second remembrance service; ‘Light in Darkness’ is for all parents, family members and friends who have been bereaved by suicide.
We extend a warm welcome to everyone and hope that they will find some comfort in coming together to remember their loved one in a special way at these services
Taize Prayer: Our final night of Taize prayer for November - a reflective hour of prayer and reflection will be held in the Church. All are welcome to attend even for just a few minutes. The hour of prayer will begin at 8.30pm and conclude with night prayer at 9.30pm.
Come Share the light: Diocesan Youth Forum 27th to 29th November in St. Finian’s College, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath Young adults 18 – 35 years are invited to participate in talks, group discussions, fun, music and prayer, as young people meet to explore their role in the Church. A social evening will be held in the Parochial House on this Thursday evening (26th November) beginning at 8.00pm for all who distribute the parish envelopes, those who collect them and for those who take up the basket collection at the weekend Masses. We are grateful to all for their support and work.
New members are welcome to join the Parish Choir at any time. Even if you can commit to joining for the Christmas period, you will be most welcome. The choir practices on Tuesday evenings at 8.30pm for an hour in the Parish Pastoral Centre.

A Suicide Information and Awareness Evening will be held on Tuesday 24th November at 8.00pm in the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan. Speakers: Ms Caroline McGuigan (Founder/CEO of Suicide or Survival – Psychotherapist); Mrs Margaret Hayes (mother of the late Gerard Hayes, who died by suicide in 1987); Mr Jim O’Connell (involved in the school centred based project ‘Jigsaw’ - a mental health program for young people, implemented by the HSE, VEC, NEPS and Headstrong); Dr John Sheehan (Consultant psychiatrist at the Mater Hospital, Dublin); Mr Garreth Phelan (Suicide/Support Officer with the HSE) and Chairperson, Mr Paul Kelly, (who founded ‘Console’ following the death of his younger sister Sharon, through Suicide. Paul is also a director of the Irish Association of Suicidology). Admission free and tea/coffee will be served.

St.Michael's House is a voluntary organisation which supports people with intellectual disabilities. We are a community residential house providing 24 hour support to four people with moderate-severe intellectual disabilities. The fundraiser is called Santa swim. It is taking place in Aura Leisure Link in Trim on Saturday the 28th of November between 5pm and 7pm. The swim is for people of all abilities whether they can doggie paddle for 1 length or do a perfect front crawl for 50 lengths. All proceeds will go towards sensory equipment, communication equipment or towards buying transport for St. Michael's House, Navan.
