Work in the Church The lighting system in the church has been upgraded with new energy saving bulbs and new globes. Work is continuing with the emergency lighting and signs that are necessary to comply with health and safety regulations. The work on re-upholstering the kneelers has begun and they should be completed over the next few weeks. In two weeks time, work will take place in installing smoke detectors in the church. We thank you for your patience during this work and we hope to keep the disruption to a minimum.
Reflections
“Because of our Baptism we are already one body and we are called to live in communion. God has made us brothers and sisters in Christ. It is not the fundamental witness that we are called to?”
Pontifical Council for the Promoting Christian Unity
“Those who look for happiness anywhere other than in God are actually seeking what cannot bring happiness”. Gilbert Meilaender The Way That Leads There
In the stillness of the night
Come to me in prayer, said the Lord, in the stillness of the night when the world sleeps.
Listen to me as I speak to you in the scriptures.
Receive me in the Eucharist. See me in everyone you meet.
Love them, pray for all mankind.
Rejoice that you have found me,
Spend time apart to be with me.
Live in the world, but not of it.
You belong to me.
I have given you a precious gift, myself.
Use it to lead others to me. Ann Ham The Celtic Heart
