We welcome Bishop Smith to Ratoath next Saturday for our Confirmation Ceremonies.

On Wednesday 19^th May from 8.30pm-9.30pm we invite boys and girls preparing for their Confirmation and their families to our Taize prayer. Priests will be available for those who wish to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. All in our parish are welcome to attend even for just 5 minutes to pray for our parish community as we prepare for the Feast of Pentecost.

Alpha Update: We thank Fr John, Veronica and Pauline who travelled from Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath last Monday to share their experience of post Alpha in their parish. The Ratoath Alpha group will continue to meet on Monday evening at 8.00pm in the Parish Centre and all are welcome to attend.

National Famine Memorial Day is on Sunday 16^th May.  Dunshaughlin & District Historical Society will be holding their annual commemoration ceremony at the Famine Graveyard, behind the Workhouse on the Dublin Road at 2.30pm.  All are welcome to attend.

Ratoath Heart Safe Initiative: Ratoath Cardiac First Responder Group. For the past year the group have been receiving contributions from the local community for the establishment of a Cardiac First Responder service for the Ratoath area. The group are still in discussion with the ambulance service as it is necessary to agree a protocol for their input to the service. In the meantime the group have purchased as AED (Defibrillator) and it will be located in the church. It is available, if required, for use by trained persons from the group or anyone who has been trained in the use of a defibrillator. A heartfelt thanks to all who have supported the group so far.
