Lectio Divina – an introduction to listening to the Word of God in scripture on 10th April from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. €10 includes tea/coffee break. Lectio Divina means Divine Reading and is one of the richest and most ancient forms of Christian prayer. In fact, the origins of Lectio Divina are to be found in the “haggadah”, a method of exploring scripture that was used by the Jews in the days of Jesus himself. In the Christian tradition, Lectio Divina is a way of listening to the texts of scripture and cultivating friendship with Christ. We listen with the heart and open ourselves to spiritual growth and to a deeper relationship of love with him. In doing this our lives, attitudes and motivations are transformed. Facilitator: Denis Gleeson

Mother’s Day
A Mother loves right from the start,
she holds her baby close to her heart,
the bond that grows will never falter,
her love is so strong it will never alter.
A very Happy Mothers’ Day to all Mothers in the Parish
