An Alzheimer's Information Meeting At Trim Castle Hotel on Wed. 28th at 8.30pm. If you feel you want to know more about Alzheimer's disease, Dementia or are worried about memory loss for you or a family member you may find the evening beneficial. The key speakers on the night will be Dr. Bill Bourke, a consultant physician in geriatric medicine; Elaine Byrne, a solicitor, who will speak on financial and legal matters. Information will be available on the Day Care Services and personnel from the HSE will be in attendance. The meeting is open to all and admission is free. A brochure will be launched on the night giving details of the services available in Co. Meath.

Sept 30th is the National Day of Volunteering and The CRAFT COTTAGE, Fairyhouse Road, Ratoath is a centre for the Knit-a-thon. The idea is that people do some knitting for charity. You can, of course, work on your project before or after that date but there is a plan afoot to try for the Guinness Book of Records for the most people knitting, on the day itself, in the various centres nationwide.
