Congratulations
Congratulations to all the boys and girls of sixth class in Ratoath and Rathbeggan National Schools who were confirmed by Bishop Smith on Saturday.
Trocaire Boxes
Trocaire Boxes should be returned to the baskets at the back of the church as soon as possible. We thank you for your support for the work of Trocaire and its continuing work on our behalf throughout the world.
Our Lenten Cross
“Ours were the sufferings he bore, ours the sorrows he carried.”
During Holy Week, you can place a peg on the cross to symbolise a worry, anxiety, suffering or illness you or your family carry at this time or you can remove one of the pegs from the cross, committing yourself to pray during the week for the needs of a person who placed the peg on the cross.
Petition Box
Please place you petitions in the petition box this week.
They will be placed at the foot of the cross on Good Friday.
Congratulations to Isabella Mannering-Mulvany (The Village Centre),
Adam Moloney (Meadowbank Hill) and Emmet O’Donnell-Harley (Steeplechase Green)
who were baptised last weekend.
Next Sunday (Easter Sunday) is a blue offering day.
Apart from the Penitential Service, confessions will also be held on Good Friday after the Stations of the Cross and on Holy Saturday from 12 noon to 1.00pm

This Sunday (Palm Sunday) in our church at 8.00pm.
A number of priests from the neighbouring parishes will attend.
Penitential Services in Ashbourne on Monday; Dunboyne on Tuesday- at 8.00pm
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Mass at 8.00am in the Nursing Home and 9.45am in the Parish Church.
Please note there will be no evening Masses this week.
Holy Thursday
Mass of the Lord’s Supper 8.00pm
On Holy Thursday, we recall the Last Supper, the night before Jesus died.
The Last Supper was the first Mass celebrated by Jesus,
when he gathered with his friends
and told them “do this in memory of me”
Good Friday
Stations of the Cross 3.00pm
We follow the “Way of the Cross”, the journey of Jesus from Jerusalem to Calvary.
Celebration of the Lord’s Passion 8.00pm
This is the main celebration for Good Friday. We hear again the story of Christ’s suffering and death.
We venerate the cross, place our petitions at the foot of the cross and at the conclusion of this solemn but simple service, we receive Holy Communion.
Holy Saturday
Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection 9.00pm
On this holy night, we pass from the darkness of death on Good Friday to the empty tomb and the joy of Christ’s resurrection.
The light of the Easter Candle
and the blessing of new water remind us of our hope. During this special Mass, we baptise a new born baby from the parish.
